These are strictly an abstract response to the properties of certain materials: colored pencil, graphite, charcoal, and china marker. These will reflect or absorb light, and the way they appear will change when the position of the viewer changes. This is an important concept in my work; it is my way of waving hello and connecting with a person looking at my work when I cannot be physically present.
